Cheryl is founder and CEO of award-winning digital marketing and HubSpot Partner agency Wagada Digital.

With offices in St Albans and Cheltenham, the business has grown from Cheryl’s spare bedroom into a 30-person team with a national and international client base.  Recently awarded Business Person of the Year at the Hertfordshire SME Awards, Cheryl is highly respected as an industry thought leader, public speaker and business owner.

Cheryl set the company up 12 years ago after coming back to work from maternity leave when she found herself in that catch 22 situation that many mothers find themselves in where she couldn’t afford not to work, but the cost of childcare meant that she couldn’t afford to go to work. During the first few years she juggled being a mum and a business owner, working around the nursery pick ups and school run to grow her business and team.

Brand new to networking at the beginning of her business journey, it soon became her main source of new clients and she worked hard to share her expertise and build relationships with individuals in the community.

As a result, she is now Vice President of the St Albans Chamber of Commerce. Learning and development is really important to Cheryl and she has always been a big fan of TEDx talks and in 2023 she co-organised St Albans’ first TEDx event which was a great success.

Creating a strong business culture has always been key to Cheryl’s dream for the business and she works hard to ensure that the company values are always at the forefront of everything that they do.

We're delighted to be welcoming John Acton as our MC for the day! John is no stranger to supporting events as the Master of Ceremonies and during the last 10 years he has performed this role at events from 50 delegates to over 1,000 in the UK, Europe and beyond.

He has chaired Panel Discussions, facilitated and led workshops and delivered business focussed sessions at a wide range of business events over many years so we're in good hands!

In addition, John has 30 years experience of working in senior leadership roles within global organisations including MD of the DPD Group as well as setting up his own consultancy and training company.
